Let’s clear this out first, Tamsin Egerton is in no way related to Taron Egerton. Although, you might probably know her as the wife of Josh Hartnett. Who is known for his roles in “Pearl Harbor” and “Black Mirror”.
But Egerton and Trump in the same sentence? Now that’s something you won’t expect. This connection comes in from Tamsin Egerton starring in “The Pussy Grabber Plays”. An ensemble of plays which brought to the stage several #metoo allegations against Donald Trump.
The Hollywood Access leak
Stemming from a 2005 Hollywood Access video of Trump gloating about his authority and power saying “ You can do anything. Grab ‘em by the pussy.” Trump’s disgusting statement had him in a controversy. Even Urban Dictionary found themselves under the obligation to dedicate the term solely to the now 2024 presidential candidate.
Egerton took to Instagram in 2019 to announce the release of the plays. The eight plays focus on seven women who have come forward with their account of sexual misconduct on Trump’s part. With the final play being in honor of all those women who have not come forward.
Donald gets owned
The Egerton and Trump saga does not end there. She has been critical of Trump’s views on Women’s reproductive health and Abortion Laws. Posting on Instagram a picture of Trump signing a document with the headline
As long as you live you won’t see seven women signing legislation about what men can do with their reproductive organs”.
Judging by Egerton’s social media handles she is not as active as some other stars. But she has made it a point to show her disapproval of Trump and his policies.
In another hilarious post on Twitter, Egerton reposted Joe Keegan’s post. It shows Trump’s ridiculous statements in the eighties. Telling of his money minded businessman to the core nature and his general disregard for others.
Egerton as Ivanka?
Egerton’s husband Josh Hartnett had also voiced his opinions to The Independent in 2016 . Voicing his concern of Trump’s earlier candidature, he shared his nervousness regarding him winning and the media frenzy surrounding him. Hartnett is critical of the media system in America. He says he prefers news channels like BBC who would not have let someone like Trump gain traction.
However, in a funny ironic turn of events Egerton has been a myCast contender for Ivanka Trump- Donald Trump’s daughter !
